Friscora is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Friscora mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 User-Provided Information

When using Friscora, you may choose to provide:

• Income, expense, and goal entries (amounts, categories, notes, and related metadata)
• Work schedule data (shifts, patterns, and related settings)
• Profile or preferences you configure in the app
• Bank or card statement files or content you import for categorization (processed as described below)
• Feedback you submit through the in-app form (including optional screenshots)

1.2 Data Stored on Your Device

Much of your financial and schedule information is stored locally on your device, for example using Apple’s standard app storage mechanisms (such as UserDefaults for app data).

1.3 iCloud Key-Value (Optional)

If you enable related capabilities, Friscora may use iCloud Key-Value storage to sync certain preferences or small pieces of data across your Apple devices, subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.

1.4 Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Firestore)

Some features use Google Firebase:

• Firebase Authentication — for example anonymous sign-in may be used so the app can access Firestore for specific features
• Cloud Firestore — used for schedule sharing / pairing and may be used to store in-app feedback you submit

Network communication with Firebase uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Data stored in Firestore is governed by Google’s infrastructure and policies in addition to this policy.

1.5 Automatically Collected Information

The app may collect limited technical or operational information through Firebase or the operating system in connection with the features above (for example authentication tokens, error-related data, or metadata needed to operate sharing). Friscora is not marketed as an advertising or cross-app tracking product; see Apple’s App Privacy details on the App Store listing for declared data types.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Provide budgeting, analytics, goals, and work-schedule functionality
• Import and categorize statement transactions using on-device, rule-based logic
• Operate optional schedule sharing when you create or accept invites
• Process feedback you send voluntarily
• Maintain app security (for example optional app lock)
• Improve stability and user experience

3. How We Protect Your Data

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the app, including:

• Encrypted network communication (HTTPS/TLS) for cloud services
• Firebase Authentication to restrict access to Firestore-backed features
• Optional on-device authentication to access the app

We do not sell your personal information as a product. We do not rent or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing.

Statement import and categorization are designed to operate with deterministic, rule-based processing in the app; this codebase does not ship an in-app AI assistant that sends your full transaction history to a large language model provider.

4. Data Retention

Data on your device remains until you delete the app or clear data within the app. Cloud data tied to Firebase (for example shared schedule documents or feedback records) is retained according to operational needs and your use of those features; you may request deletion as described below.

• Apple — iOS, App Store, iCloud Key-Value (if enabled), device security features

6. Children’s Privacy

Friscora is a personal finance and productivity app intended for adults and general audiences managing their own data. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your region (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may have rights to:

• Request access to or deletion of personal information we hold
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Port data where applicable

To exercise these rights, contact us using the email below. You can also delete the app and clear local data on your device; cloud-side data may require a separate request for any information stored in Firebase in connection with your use of sharing or feedback.

Data Export

You may export a copy of your data using features provided in the app (for example from Profile), such as CSV exports of analytics-related summaries and related information, depending on the version you use. Exports are generated from data available to the app on your device unless a feature explicitly involves a server download.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
